Cash Money Records will bring awareness to a disease that affects more than 25 million Americans in the U.S. — with nearly 5 million cases within the Black community alone — by way of an MTV Video Music Awards post-party, a rep for the label told BET.com.

Cash Money label heads Brian "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams will serve as hosts for an American Diabetes Association of Greater New York benefit taking place across the street from Barclay's at Brooklyn's Skylight One Hanson immediately following the Sunday (Aug. 25) telecast. Lil Wayne, Drake, Tyga, Paris Hilton and other artists from the YMCMB roster will attend.

"We've had the honor of supporting with the American Diabetes Association through United Health Care last year at our Annual Turkey Drive, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with ADA directly this time around," Slim said. "... Together we're giving Young Money/Cash Money Records VMA after-party a really wonderful purpose. We're raising awareness and hoping to soldier on towards a cure."

Birdman echoed the sentiment. "Slim and I have always believed in giving back, and we are thrilled to give back to the community through the American Diabetes Association and party with a purpose," he said.   

VIP tickets are on sale via 2013VMA.eventbrite.com for $250. Additionally, Billionaires Club Tickets, which grants access to seating in the Cash Money VIP area, are available for $500.
