Juicy J Producing New Pimp C Album

Third posthumous project on its way.

More than five years after his death, Pimp C's rap lyrics will be reborn by way of a new album with Juicy J at the helm. The Three 6 Mafia frontman tweeted the news yesterday: "I'm producing the new pimp c album unreleased material it's gone be a movie!!!!!!!"

He's yet to give additional details.

Three 6 Mafia's ties to UGK's Pimp C predate his untimely passing. The rap crews collaborated more than once, like on the Memphis collective's 2000 single "Sippin' on Some Syrup" (aka "Sippin'  on Some Sizzurp"), and UGK's "Int'l Players Anthem," co-produced by Juicy.

Pimp C died in 2007 from respiratory failure brought on by a codeine overdose. His passing shed light on the fatal results of the rap world's addiction to the cough syrup, commonly known as "sizzurp." In the years since, three Pimp C albums have been released, the most recent being 2010's The Naked Soul of Sweet Jones.

Juicy is also currently prepping the release of his Stay Trippy debut, out Aug. 27.
