Jill Scott Says A$AP Rocky and Future Are "Beautiful"

Singer talks about rappers' good looks in new interview.

In an interview with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds, singer/actress Jill Scott starts out talking about her role in the new romantic comedy Baggage Claim (she plays Gail Best, the best friend of Paula Patton's character, Montana) and winds up talking about how good looking A$AP Rocky and Future are.

How did that happen? It was relatively unprovoked. Rosenberg and Cipha had praised Scott for her many talents and inquired about whether or not she's considered becoming a DJ (like Erykah Badu and several other singers have). She said "no" but Rosenberg, a bit perturbed by the trend, mentioned that A$AP Rocky may be dabbling in it, too. Cipha said he's OK with that because "he's hip hop," to which Scott replied, "and beautiful" (with a bat of her eyelashes).

She then adds Future to her list of attractive hip hoppers. "And Future," she said, "He looks like somebody that was carved out of some kind of black stone... He's stunning."

Elsewhere in the interview the "So in Love" singer describes her musical come-up from a poetry reading in Philly where she met Questlove, who told her that he liked her writing style and invited her to write a hook. He then put her in the studio with Scott Storch and together they created the Roots's 1999 Grammy-winning hit, "You Got Me," featuring Erykah Badu and Eve.

Now, in addition to Baggage Claim (scheduled to hit theaters Sept. 27), Scott is working on two new albums her fifth and sixth studio album efforts slated for release the end of this year and sometime in 2014.

As for her innocent crush, both A$AP Rocky and Future are known to be in relationships, but Scott (and you) can click here to check out BET's Most Eligible Bachelors in Music.
