Coolio Assault Case Dropped
Charges against Coolio, stemming from an alleged assault on his girlfriend, have been thrown out. A Nevada judge dropped the case on Tuesday (Sept. 24) after prosecutors were unable to corroborate the victim's abuse allegations.
In April, Anabella Chatman, 49, told cops that Coolio, 50, pushed and punched her during an argument over him bringing another woman to their house. Chatman also accused the "Gangster's Paradise" rapper of hitting her with his car before fleeing the scene.
After he was arrested for the altercation, the father of six claimed Chatman attacked him, telling Rumorfix.com, "I never laid hands on her! When my back was turned to her, she jumped on me and started scratching my face which caused me to fall to my knees."
Since Chatman changed up her story, prosecutors weren't able to prove her case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Coolio, currently touring overseas, hasn't responded to the legal victory.
