Soulja Boy Sued Over Hit-and-Run

Accident victim claims negligence in red Bentley run-in.

Soulja Boy is being sued for a January car accident involving his infamous red Bentley even though he wasn't actually part of the alleged hit-and-run. Soulja, aka DeAndre Cortez, was named in a civil suit filed Monday (Oct. 14) by the victim, TMZ reports.

The rapper's Stacks on Deck Money Gang crew member Arab 2059 was driving Soulja's luxury vehicle when it collided with a motorcyclist, Gabor Turi, at a Hollywood intersection. Court documents state that Arab, birth name Abrahim Mustafa, fled the scene while Turi was thrown off the bike and suffered several injuries, including a broken shoulder and cuts to his genitalia that required surgery.

One of Turi's friends conducted a solo investigation to confirm the car's owner before police got involved, leading to Arab's arrest on suspicion of felony hit-and-run in May. Authorities lined up Turi's story with surveillance footage of the Bentley collected from secret cameras all over the city and impounded the car.

Soulja is being sued for negligence. The 23-year-old faces liability because the car is registered in his name.

It is unclear how much Turi is seeking in the suit.
