Timbaland's Wife Files for Divorce

Producer's spouse wants to dissolve five-year marriage.

While Timabaland is out on the road with the Magna Carter World Tour, his wife of five years, Monique Mosley (née Idlett), is filing for divorce, reports TMZ.

According to the court papers, Timbaland, born Timothy Mosley, and Monique have a five-year-old daughter together and have considered themselves a couple for approximately ten years.

During that time, she has worked with him as a publicist and business partner and appeared on VH1's Behind the Music special gushing about him. They were wed in June 2008, after he proposed to her at her baby shower for their daughter.

Now, she wants the producer to pay child support for their daughter and for one of her sons — who she says Timbo "publicly and privately proclaimed ... as his own," and, of course, for alimony — including "rehabilitative" alimony that covers the time they are separated and going through divorce proceedings.

She claims she is so broke she had to borrow money to pay for a lawyer.

Timbaland is worth a reported $80 million.

As of press time, there has been no comment about the filing from either.
