Kanye West: Michelle Obama Can't Instagram Like Kim Kardashian

Yeezus says Kim K. is more "intriguing" than First Lady, should be on the cover of Vogue.

Can't tell this fiancé nothin'. Kanye West, who is making media rounds for his Yeezus tour, insisted yesterday (Oct. 29) that Kim Kardashian, to whom he is newly engaged, is more influential than First Lady Michelle Obama.

"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue," he told Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS FM. "She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her like every day."

Throwing a little shade at the President, he added, "And collectively, we're the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [President Barack Obama] is wearing," he said. "Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day."

It is not likely that we'll see FLOTUS respond with a bathing suit selfie of her own, but we might get a soundbite from President Obama defending his first lady. After all, the president has been rather critical of Mr. West in the past, even questioning the lavish spending habits of the A-list couple.

Jokes and lobbying the fashion industry aside, Yeezy also revealed more details about just how in love he is, admitting to Seacrest that he was nervous about proposing to the reality TV empress.

"I was nervous. I was talking to her cousin. I was like, 'I don't know, what do you think she's going to say?' I'm not arrogant about love and feelings at all. I'm confident in the work I put so much work into, but this is someone else's feelings. You never know what someone else may feel at the time," he said. "I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time."
