More dates on the Yeesuz tour were canned after a car accident destroyed a custom video truss, and a 60-foot LED light “central to the creative vision" of the show Wednesday (Oct. 30).
According to TMZ, 'Ye refuses to “compromise on bringing the show as it was originally envisioned and designed to his fans," and has canceled tonight’s Vancouver stop, plus remaining nights in Anaheim, Denver, and Minneapolis.
The tour will resume once the stage pieces are rebuilt.
One week after the Vancouver date was scrapped at the very last minute, Kanye West's Yeezus tour has been hit with another scheduling change.
The Anaheim, Calif. stop, scheduled for Friday (Nov. 1), has been postponed due to "production logistics," the venue announced yesterday. West will now hit Anaheim’s Honda Center on Dec. 13.
All original tickets will be honored by the Honda Center.
West kicked off the jaunt — also featuring A Tribe Called Quest and Kendrick Lamar — in Seattle last week and rescheduled Vancouver's Oct. 20 show to Oct. 31, which may have contributed to Anaheim's date swap.
The "New Slaves" rapper played two nights at L.A.'s Staples Center this week, earning a rave review from Marlon Wayans, who compared his elaborate masks and stage set-ups to the Phantom of the Opera. "'Ye is dope," Wayans told a TMZ camera guy after the concert. "I appreciate him as an artist, that he goes on an artistic journey. It was like watching a Picasso painting come to life. He flips it from what's on the album, and that's what dope. He like remixes it right in front of you."
As for his tour wardrobe, the Louis Vuitton Don's clothes look like "he got ‘em out of the trash," Wayans joked, adding, "It's like some fly garbageman wear."
