Singer says that she didn't diss proposal plans.
Rumors that Lana Del Rey turned down Kanye West's invitation to sing "Young & Beautiful" at his surprise proposal to Kim Kardashian are false, the singer told TMZ Friday (Nov. 1). "I would never deny his request, that's not true," she said heading into the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.
Del Ray's song, Kardashian's favorite, played during the elaborate event at San Francisco's AT&T Park, sparking a Radar Online report that claimed she "politely declined" Ye's offer to make a live appearance.
"It was a very firm 'no' from Lana and her camp," a source told the site. "Kanye did try to push it, but didn't get anywhere. Kanye decided to hire an orchestra to perform the song for Kim, and he was much happier with how it turned out."
Del Rey neither confirmed nor denied that West reached out to her, or whether or not she's invited to the wedding.
Meanwhile, the typically private couple has been opening up more about their relationship since welcoming daughter North West over the summer. 'Ye is now even toying with the idea of broadcasting their nuptials for charity, telling Power 106's Big Boy Neighborhood last week, "I would take as much as possible, if someone's gonna pay me."
