Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2 Goes Platinum
With two hit albums out in one year, Justin Timberlake has been having a pretty good 2013 thus far, and it just got better. JT's The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), less than two months after it was released.
Although it didn't come close to the 968,000 copies its predecessor sold in week one (that album was certified double-platinum in April), the effort pushed an impressive 350,000 units in a debut lead by his singles "Take Back the Night" and "TKO."
Timberlake has been on the road promoting both albums for most of the year. He wrapped up the Legends of the Summer tour with Jay Z in July, and kicked off his solo jaunt at Brooklyn's Barclays Center Wednesday (Nov. 6).
Toronto singer The Weeknd will open on select dates.
