Rappers connect with DJ Lethal to develop new venture.
In an earlier interview with BET.com Canadian-born spitter Madchild teased a project that he would be releasing in the new year. The Swollen Members rapper is teaming up with Boston-bred MC Slaine of La Coka Nostra to do a joint album under the moniker "Supreme Villain," and the two have big plans for what their new sound will be.
"It's gonna be crazy," Slaine said. "We're gonna make some new school old school s**t. We're working with some of the most legendary people in the game."
The two MCs, who are fresh off touring together, have been hitting the studio during their time on the road to lay down tracks for the album. "We were just at DJ Lethal's studio last week making a song for the record," added Madchild, who confirmed that the Limp Bizkit DJ/producer would be handling a share of the album's production duties.
"We're gonna reach out and do something with DJ Premier. We wanna do something with [Cypress Hill producer/DJ] Muggs. We wanna work with a lot of hip hop's legendary producers and legendary DJs as well as some of our favorite MCs, from Action Bronson to Evidence to [fellow La Coka Nostra MC] Ill Bill. It's definitely gonna be an all-star cast."
Most important, however, is that the foundation — the new duo — have insane chemistry. "Me and Mad feed off each other, that's my f****n boy, my brother," said Slaine, calling for fans to be on the lookout for Supreme Villain early in the new year. "We just toured together, seven weeks through Canada, had the best time ever, our chemistry is great and I'm hyped to make this record. We're gonna f****n' kill it in 2014!"
