A security guard told the Southeast Missourian that an as yet unidentified attendee was upset when he got kicked out of the venue for getting "physical with security." When he returned, he had a weapon and let off one shot before the audience started pouring out of the arena. Multiple shots were fired outside. Police report finding one victim at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound in the chest.

Another later arrived at a nearby hospital with a bullet wound in the leg; he said he was at the show. One woman also reported that her vehicle was shot up; she suffered no injuries.

Last month, a shooting at a Quan concert in Columbus, Ohi,o resulted in a fatally. "It's sad to hear that someone died," Quan said afterwards. "I just want everybody to know, me nor anybody in my crew or affiliation had anything to do with the shooting in Ohio."
