Report: Justin Bieber Friend, Khalil Sharieff, Not Drunk in DUI Bust

Bieber buddy had blood alcohol level of 0.00.

The Miami Police Department has some explaining to do.

Justin Bieber's friend, Def Jam recording artist Khalil Sharieff, was arrested for a DUI and drag-racing with the pop star, but he wasn't drunk, TMZ reports.

Sharieff had a blood alcohol level of 0.00 both times he was tested by authorities, the website says. Additionally, sources close to Sharieff say that he doesn't even drink.

The missing detail lumped Sharieff into reports that he was "drunk driving." The 19-year-old Sacramento, Calif. native alluded to holes in the story on Instagram last week, writing, "They'll try & paint whatever image of u that they want."

His is the latest point of contradiction adding to the rumors that police inflated arrest details. After Bieber was said to have a BAC of .04, a police report showed otherwise. Next, he and Sharieff were allegedly drag-racing, yet video surveillance and GPS data from both cars show that they were going well below the speed limit. A cop was also following behind them.

There are two other factors that have yet to be disproven, however. Police busted Bieber and Sharieff in part for failing field sobriety tests, which could mean weed intoxication or prescription drugs, both of which Bieber was accused of taking. Urinary test results have not yet come in, but Miami authorities allegedly have a reputation for profiling, according to Jermaine Dupri. The So So Def founder claims he too was targeted by Miami cops in December.
