Justin Bieber Settles Bodyguard Lawsuit

The Biebs pays his way out of assault and battery claims.

Justin Bieber has at least one less legal struggle on his plate.

Bieber settled a lawsuit brought on by an ex-bodyguard claiming he was punched in the chest by the teen superstar, reports TMZ.

Moshe Benabou sued The Biebs for assault and battery last year, alleging that the 19-year-old crooner attacked him during a disagreement regarding the multi-millionaire's entourage. The former Israeli military solider worked under Bieber from 2011–2012 and filed the suit to recoup $420,000 worth of overtime in addition to the assault allegations.

Benabou's payout is of course only a small portion of the legal trouble trailing Bieber lately. In the first month of 2014, the 19-year-old Canadian has been arrested twice, first in Miami for DUI, drag racing, resisting arrest, and driving without a valid license; and recently he turned himself in to Toronto authorities for allegedly assaulting a limo driver.

If that wasn't bad enough, last week, toxicology reports confirmed that Bieber had weed and pills in his system leading up to the aforementioned DUI arrest, and a day later his private jet was briefly detained in New Jersey over an alleged weed smell. Authorities found no drugs on the aircraft, but more bad Bieber press hit the Internet by the weekend. On Sunday (Feb. 2) TMZ posted an explicit photo of Bieber and friend Khalil Sharrief with a topless stripper during a party in L.A.

Bieber hasn't addressed the stripper incident and instead tweeted earlier today, "Dear cops, my believers won't hurt me. All is ok."
