Yeezy is mentoring the YMCMB rapper for his fourth LP.
Tyga has announced that Kanye West will executive produce on his upcoming fourth studio release, The Gold Album. T-Raw broke the news with Los Angeles radio host Yesi Ortiz of Power 106. "It's gonna be a crazy album," he promised.
'Ye and Tyga were snapped in the studio together recently but the Young Money rapper didn't drop many more details regarding the sounds they've been constructing behind closed doors. West is more of a mentor, revealed the native West Coaster. "It's good to have people like him, [Lil] Wayne, people I grew up on," said Tyga. "Just to be mentored by the greats is like, it just put you in that running."
When asked to share some of the advice he's gotten from Yeezy, the 24-year-old couldn't pinpoint a specific life lesson. "It's so much stuff," admitted Tyga. "I would have to play it back in my head and think about it 'cuz it's so much stuff you know? Like I was with Birdman, it was his birthday this weekend, and just being with him too, it's crazy like how different everybody is but they're just great at what they do."
Besides The Gold Album (which has no drop date as of yet), Tyga will be heard on the Young Money compilation LP Rise of An Empire out March 11. He's also working on a Fan of a Fan album with Chris Brown and a Last Kings EP, both due out later in the year.
