Rihanna Prepping Concept Album for Animated Film
Rihanna's latest album is a departure from what we're used to hearing from her. The 26-year-old will record a concept album featuring two brand new tracks in support of her role in the animated flick Home, reports Variety.
The DreamWorks Animation flick hits theaters on Nov. 26 and is based on the children's book The True Meaning of Smeck Day.
Rih Rih will voice the film's main character, Gratuity "Tip" Tucci, a pre-teen girl with a homework assignment that leads to an adventure. Other Home cast members include Jennifer Lopez, Steve Martin and Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons.
While Rih gears up to make her animated debut this year, the Bajan beauty has been keeping herself busy on other music fronts. She and Drake were spotted in Paris together, and after hanging out in a few different cities recently, and popping up at more than one Would You Like a Tour stop, she was finally pulled on stage last night. She and a (visibly excited) Drizzy performed "Take Home," then Rihanna launched into her strip-club anthem "Pour It Up."
Backstage, Rihanna and singer Jhené Aiko took a sultry Instagram pic that apparently sent social media into a tailspin.
