A Beverly Hills police sergeant filed a lawsuit Monday (March 10), claiming he was mistreated for exposing another officer's inappropriate comments about Whitney Houston's lifeless body. 

In his suit, Sgt. Brian Weir recalls what happened according to a claim he made last year, alleging that Detective Sgt. Terry Nutall lifted "the sheet covering Houston's body and made lewd comments," while they were at the scene of her death.

Houston died of an accidental drowning at the Beverly Hills Hotel on February 11, 2012. The 48-year-old was in town for the Grammys at the time. Heart disease and drugs found in her system contributed to her untimely passing, a coroner announced. 

According to the suit, her body was covered with a sheet to "preserve the scene" and "prevent contamination" before Nutall reportedly pulled the sheet down "to an area below the pubic region," and said "Damn, she still look good, huh?"

Weir maintains that outing Nutall brought on retaliation from the department. He says he was removed from a "coveted" SWAT and K-9 unit positions, harassed, demoted as a supervisor, and passed over for promotions. His suit seeks unspecified damages for missed pay as well as pain and suffering.

The department has yet to review and comment on Weir's lawsuit. A spokesperson previously announced that an investigation found that no "inappropriate behavior or inappropriate comments," were made about Houston. Nutall has since been promoted to lieutenant.
