Freddie Gibbs Releases Jeezy Diss

Gibbs gets "Real" on new track aimed at CTE frontman.

Freddie Gibbs has made good on his promise to release a Jeezy diss.

Gibbs walked from the Snowman's CTE camp in 2012, and in an interview with BET.com last December, he vowed to air out the differences that caused the split as a "Hit 'Em Up" style effort, à la Tupac Shakur.

He premiered that effort, "Real," last week, at a show in Chicago, reports MTV.

"You wanna be Jay Z n----a, you just a f---n' puppet," Gibbs spit. "You say you're the realest but [Rick] Ross had you scared to drop a diss record/ You had the whole team looking weak/ I guess that's why they ran up on you at BET." [Note: Jeezy and Rozay have since squashed their beef "like bosses."]

The song will be placed on Piñata, his upcoming collaborative release with producer Madlib. Gibbs also hinted there are likely more songs, when he sent the warning about this one, last year. "I don't want people to think it's one specific Jeezy diss track. I'm about to go in on Jeezy like Pac would on Biggie ... And Jeezy ain't the only rapper that's gonna get it. Anybody that step in the line of fire, they gonna get tapped too. So nobody better not say nothing about this s--t."

"Freddie is a talented artist," Jeezy said in a 2012 statement, soon after Gibbs left CTE. "I have no doubt that Freddie will go on to be everything I believe he can be, and I wish him the best in his career."

Piñata is scheduled for release March 18.
