Yeezy reschedules Down Under trek to work on his "highly anticipated" new album.
Australian fans are going to have to wait a little longer than anticipated for the Yeezus tour. Kanye West has postponed dates Down Under in order to meet the deadline for his "highly anticipated" seventh studio album, Live Nation announced, Monday (March 31).
"Due to unexpected timing requirement to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia," the concert promotion company said via a statement issued Monday (March 31).
His five-day run was scheduled for May 5, and will now run from Sept. 5 to Sept. 15. Original ticket holders will be honored at the September shows "without need for exchange."
The last time West performed in Australia was in 2012 to headline the Big Day Out festival.
With music, a movie and a wedding in the works, Yeezy is having a busy year, professionally and personally. The 38-year-old is rumored to be marrying Kim Kardashian in May, and, in addition to his own tour, will co-headline the Bonnaroo Music Festival in June.
