The rapper is facing up to three years in prison for sizzurp arrest last summer.
UPDATE: 2 Chainz pleaded not guilty to felony possession in a Los Angeles courtroom sometime Tuesday (April 8).
According to video obtained by TMZ, the 36-year-old Atlanta native appeared at the two-minute arraignment, with his lawyer by his side. A judge set a new court date for May 5, as requested by the G.O.O.D. Music rapper's lawyer.
It's time for 2 Chainz to face the music for his June 2013 arrest at LAX. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has filed felony drug-possession charges against the "Feds Watching" rapper, according to TMZ.
Chainz is looking at up to three years behind bars for one count of codeine possession — the main ingredient in sizzurp. The rapper was arrested last summer when he was going through a security checkpoint at LAX and TSA officials discovered less than an ounce of marijuana and promethazine in his checked luggage.
He's scheduled to be arraigned in a Los Angeles court next week.
