Update: 2 Chainz Charged With Felony Drug Possession

The rapper is facing up to three years in prison for sizzurp arrest last summer.

UPDATE: 2 Chainz pleaded not guilty to felony possession in a Los Angeles courtroom sometime Tuesday (April 8).

According to video obtained by TMZ, the 36-year-old Atlanta native appeared at the two-minute arraignment, with his lawyer by his side. A judge set a new court date for May 5, as requested by the G.O.O.D. Music rapper's lawyer.

It's time for 2 Chainz to face the music for his June 2013 arrest at LAX. The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has filed felony drug-possession charges against the "Feds Watching" rapper, according to TMZ.

Chainz is looking at up to three years behind bars for one count of codeine possession the main ingredient in sizzurp. The rapper was arrested last summer when he was going through a security checkpoint at LAX and TSA officials discovered less than an ounce of marijuana and promethazine in his checked luggage.

He's scheduled to be arraigned in a Los Angeles court next week.
