J. Cole Announces the Return of the Dollar & a Dream Tour

Roc Nation MC plans to celebrate five years of The Warm Up with a nationwide jaunt.

J. Cole is taking it back to the basement for his next nationwide jaunt. The North Carolina-bred MC revealed recently that he's planning to celebrate the fifth anniversary of his acclaimed mixtape The Warm Up with a revival of his successful Dollar & a Dream Tour.

Although no dates or venues have been announced yet, Cole has set in stone that he'll be performing the tape in its entirety. As legend goes, it was one of The Warm Up's singles, "Lights Please," that captured Jay Z's attention and got Cole his Roc Nation deal (Jay being Jay, of course, heard the song before the tape dropped on June 15, 2009).

Cole first launched the Dollar & a Dream tour last year, charging fans only $1 for entrance, with surprises such as Drake appearing as a special guest at one of the New York City stops. New York City is also where Cole first launched the concept of his $1 concert in 2011, performing a single Dollar & a Dream show.

This year's concert series, loosely slated for sometime this summer, is billed as "the second annual," so it seems Cole is in it for the long haul.
