Carey will kick the series off Friday (May 16), while Pharell is scheduled for June 5, and Usher is set to close out the entire live music session, on September 5.
All three artist are gearing up for productive summer months. Carey is readying a new LP, and is expected to announce the title of the project and a new single soon, and Pharrell heads out on tour with Bruno Mars beginning in late May. The 40-year-old's "Happy" single remains the top-selling track, adding an additional 208,00 units to its platinum sales stats.
Like Carey, Usher is dipping back into the music scene. The father of two released a 40-second "taste" of his new single "Good Kisser," this week. In the mini-clip Usher emerges from a dark room showcasing his signature footwork over a thumping clap beat. The full version debuts May 5, followed by a new album this fall.
Others billed to join Usher, Pharrell and Carey for Today's stage include Sara Bareilles, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Ed Sheeran, and OneRepublic.
