Weezy kicks off possible final album with a banger.
The weekend was all Tunechi everything. Lil Wayne dropped the first single off of his highly anticipated — and possibly final — album Tha Carter V with a little help from his Young Money label mate Drake and boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"Believe Me," featuring Drake, was released on the Internet early Saturday morning, and boxing fans got to see Weezy perform the sure-to-be hit for the first time as he walked Mayweather Jr. to the ring for the undefeated champ's fight against Marcos Maidana. Wayne must have been good luck for Mayweather, who was victorious in the rough-and-tumble battle.
The five-and-a-half minute track, underlined by a slow, pulsating beat, was produced by Boi-1da and Vinylz.
