Nicki Minaj Reveals Timeline for New Single

YMCMB Barb charts out a blueprint for The Pink Print via new song featuring Soulja Boy.

Nicki Minaj is almost ready to drop the first official single off her upcoming album, The Pink Print. The lead track from the 31-year-old rapper's third studio LP will drop in two weeks.

Minaj unveiled the timeline in a verse from "Yasss Bish!," the song she released late Friday (May 2) featuring Soulja Boy. The record also includes a mention of the Donald Sterling controversy by way of the line, "I don't f--k with you n----s, I own the Clippers/I own some homes, I own my own liquor."

"Yasss Bish!" is one of a handful of tracks Minaj has delivered over the last two months to drum up anticipation for the album.

The release will be her first since 2012's Roman Reloaded, which garnered criticism in the rap world for its pop-friendly tunes. She has since gone back to a more traditional rap style, toned down her makeup and scrapped the wigs in favor of a more natural look.

And the time in between music projects has given Minaj lots to touch on, she told MTV News last November. "I've experienced so much in the last year and a half that there is so much for me to talk about and I know my fans are going to be excited about it," she said.

A release date for The Pink Print has yet to be announced.
