Usher Says There Are Levels to Being a 'Good Kisser'

Singer reveals more details about his new album, including the concept behind his new video, and a Chris Brown collab.

Fresh from debuting new Michael Jackson music at the iHeartRadio awards last week, Usher premiered his own new music video, for his "Good Kisser" song.

The Grammy Awardwinning artist stopped by REVOLT Live Wednesday (May 8) to share the concept behind the single. "I think everybody's got that one moment when they remember their first kiss, or that good kisser, one that they'll never forget," Usher told hosts SIB Vicious and DJ Damage about the the soulful throwback track, the lead single off his eighth studio album.

"To be a good kisser is cool, but then there's different levels to kissing, advanced levels ... Every record that I ever put out I tried to give it a double meaning," the Voice coach said.

Elsewhere in the interview, he revealed that there may be a Chris Brown song on his new album, too. Usher appeared in Brown's "Loyal" video, and the two also recorded a song together around then.

"The song we recorded together, I think it answers a lot of questions," Usher said, "There’s a lot of mystery about a lot of things."

Although he hasn't spoke to Breezy since he was sentenced to jail, Usher said Breezy was "in a really good place."

"We all are human, and though we may all experience hardships it's in those times people should really rally and remember why you supported the artist, or why you fell in love with the artist," he added.

Usher is expected to drop his next LP later this year. Check out the video for "Good Kisser" here.
