Rapper and producer try to set the record straight about alleged scuffle during "Young California" gig in San Francisco.
DJ Mustard and Y.G. are attempting to set the record about a rumored brawl Sunday (June 8) during a "Young California" concert at San Francisco's Mezzanine nightclub. Reports say Mustard got robbed and Y.G. was slapped in the face by a member of Bay Area rapper Mistah F.A.B.'s crew, but the 24-year-old producer says the story isn't true.
He and Y.G. posted a video to Instagram earlier today with the caption: "Who got robbed last night @yg who got slapped @yg ??? Kill the noise !!!! We walked in the same way we walked out !!!! #MKL #10summers !!! Much love to all the real n----s in the bay !!!." In the video, they basically laugh at the very idea of being attacked and flaunt stacks of cash to prove that they successfully completed their set.
Meanwhile, F.A.B. shared his side of the story with TMZ, telling the celebrity site that tensions were high but no punches were thrown. He went on to deny claims that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch jumped in the fight, as was reported by FantasyAlarm.com.
He also addressed the incident on social media, tweeting, "Folks love drama, people blowing up my phone being hella messy blog sites and more love to see us folks go at each other s---s SAD."
Explanations aside, all parties involved don't seem to be telling exactly what happened because there's video proof to back up the fight story. A concert attendee a snippet of the melee to Instagram. In the recording, a man is clearly seen throwing punches near Mustard while security and several others — including Y.G. — rush over to break things up.
The motive behind the altercation remains unclear.
