District Attorney Drops Justin Bieber Phone Robbery Case

Singer cleared of a felony charge, may still face a misdemeanor after a woman accuses him of jacking her mobile at the batting cages.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney has declared insufficient evidence in the investigation into whether or not Justin Bieber grabbed a phone from a woman he thought was taking his photo while he was enjoying some leisure time at the batting cages.

The alleged altercation occurred about a month ago at Sherman Oaks Castle Park. A San Fernando Valley resident accused Biebs of running up on her, dipping in her purse, and engaging in a tug-of-war over her mobile. She claimed she wasn't even taking pictures of him.

However, the nine witnesses interviewed each said that they didn't see the singer involved in any such incident, reports TMZ, so the D.A., who is still investigating Bieber's felony vandalism charge in the house-egging case, considers the case closed, and has dropped the felony robbery charge.

The City Attorney may still charge him with a misdemeanor.
