911 Recording From ScHoolBoy Q Shooting Released
Police were more than prepared to take down a shooting suspect after a ScHoolboy Q and Nas show at the Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado last Thursday (June 19).
TMZ obtained the audio between 911 dispatchers and authorities, who requested that several officers head to the shooting scene. "Make sure that we have about eight cars going to this call, and that they're riffle ready," an officer is heard saying.
Three people riding in an SUV with Q were shot after a gunman reportedly jumped out of the bushes and opened fire on the vehicle at around 10:30 p.m. One victim was shot in the back and another in the head, a dispatcher reveals on the call. Police don't think that the incident was random. "This is not just a coincidence," said Jefferson County Sheriff's spokesperson Jacki Kelley. "We think there is probably more to it than that. It does seem to be more targeted than random."
The vehicle carrying Q and the injured parties fled the scene while police tailed them. Authorities caught up with the bunch about 15 miles away. Q was briefly handcuffed after the vehicle wouldn't slow down for authorities, but he is not a suspect. Two of the victims have been released from the Denver Health Medical Center.
Police have yet to make an arrest.
