Rihanna is spreading a message of peace and hope for a "swift end" to the ongoing conflict  between Israel and Palestine.

After the singer tweeted and deleted #FreePalestine yesterday (July 15) Rih Rih came back to Twitter with a more diplomatic approach to the feud between the neighboring countries. "Let's pray for peace and a swift end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict! Is there any hope?…" she wrote along with a photo of a Muslim and Jewish boy embracing.

Her original #FreePalestine tweet was a mistake, a source close to the 26-year-old Barbados native told TMZ. "She deleted it because it was never meant to be tweeted," said the insider. "She didn't even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from her fans."

The public response was mixed. Some were upset with her for taking sides, and others for removing the tweet in the first place. Global Grind's editor in chief, Michael Skolnik, didn't exactly believe the mistaken tweet story. "Dear @Rihanna, it is ok to have an opinion about the situation in Israel and Palestine," tweeted Skolnik. "Even if some disagree you have the right to speak."

Rihanna's not the only celebrity to pull a tweet after supporting Palestine. Dwight Howard removed his #FreePalestine over the weekend after it was met with backlash. He also claimed that the post was "a mistake."
