Olivia Enjoys the Spotlight as a Solo Artist

The R&B singer talks new music and not being a part of the G-Unit reunion.

R&B singer Olivia is no stranger to the spotlight, but being a solo artist with all eyes on her is something that she's ready to get used to. After a short-lived contract with Clive Davis's J Records, playing the role of G-Unit's first lady, and three seasons of on-air time on Love & Hip Hop, she's back in album mode, and not mad that she wasn't included in the G-Unit reunion.

"I'm very happy for them that they are reunited 'cause when we were all out that was like the biggest thing, we ran the game for like five years straight," she told BET.com, "so that was great, but I wouldn't want to go back — I want to keep moving forward and I'm really happy where I am right now."

And right now she's in a great space musically. “I'm not going to tell you the name of the single right now, but the name of the album is Right One for You ... we are having a hard time picking the single because there are really a bunch of great ones," she said.

The album includes guest appearances from French Montana, Luke James, Wale and singer/rapper Estelle, and songs penned by Ne-Yo.

Check Olivia talking about what she learned from 50 Cent in the video below.
