Nicki Minaj's Dancer Bitten by Snake During VMAs Rehearsal

Startled reptile attacks while rapper performs "Anaconda."

Dancing for Nicki Minaj can be a dangerous game when a snake is on the stage. A reptile bit one of Minaj's backup dancers during rehearsal for the MTV VMAs Friday (Aug. 21), reports TMZ.

Minaj was running through "Anaconda" when the snake revolt occurred. The 6-foot-long boa constrictor attacked because it was somehow startled by the dancer.

The unnamed dancer was taken to a hospital and the snake was removed from the stage. No word if the serpent got booted from the performance all together.

Minaj hasn't said anything publicly about the snake bite. She will showcase "Anaconda" for the first time live at the VMAs Sunday (Aug. 24).

The music video for her new single is packed with an all-out extravaganza of bulbous backsides, helping the rapper rack up close to 20 million VEVO views in 24 hours.
