Kendrick Lamar Gives Chris Brown Some Great Advice on 'Autumn Leaves'

TDE rapper goes in on a new song leaked from Breezy's upcoming X album.

Chris Brown may have owned the summer, but fall is where he's getting in the zone. His X album has its release date, Sept. 16, and with the momentum that he's building, this one just might stick. Meanwhile, he can look to Kendrick Lamar, his feature on "Autumn Leaves," for the season change assist.

On the new song, which leaked to the Internet Wednesday (Sept. 10), Breezy sings sweetly about an overpowering love. “It seems that all the autumn leaves are falling/ I feel like you’re the only reason for it/ All the things you do, all the things you do, all the things you do...”

Kendrick comes in with the remedy, a dose of reality. "When you’re outlandish and you lose manners, to God you shall consult/ When the bright cameras are still cramming in your face and it provoke/ You to act mannish, just stay planted, because you reaping what you sow,” he raps.

That the lyrics are fitting for both their real lives and the fame that they've built makes the heartbeat in the bass line of this Bam and Roccstar-produced track all the more palpable.

K. Dot's currently on his way to releasing his much anticipated (to say the very least) sophomore effort. And Brown, in addition to putting some serious legal woes behind him recently, has been focused on finally getting his sixth album out.

This year, the singer dropped a star-studded video for "Loyal" and its follow-up, "New Flame." The two singles round out the material released from the album last year, amid multiple push backs, "Fine China," "Don't Think They Know" and "Love More."
