Snoop Dogg Promises Alaska Concert If State Legalizes Marijuana

Rapper announces he will bring his pot-themed concert to the Last Frontier state.

Alaskan residents may get to "inhale. exhale. and recharge" with Snoop Dogg if lawmakers vote to legalize marijuana in November.

During a recent episode of Snoop Dogg's GGN webcast, the rapper, known for his adoration for cannabis, promised to bring his Wellness Retreat to the Last Frontier state if the ballots come in favor of Proposition 2.

"If we get y'all to vote yes on Proposition 2, Snoop Dogg is coming to Alaska to do a concert, a wellness retreat concert, and I'm bringing some of that California with me to celebrate," Snoop said on his webcast. The declaration came after Snoop interviewed former KTVA Channel 11 reporter Charlo Green, who resigned after her on-air announcement of owning the Alaska Cannabis Club.

Snoop’s Wellness Retreat kicked off in the marijuana-friendly states Washington and Colorado in April in honor of the unofficial weed holiday, 4/20. The two-day pot-themed retreat featured performances from Wiz Khalifa, “medication and meditation” with Smoke DZA and a “get higher” session with YG.

In addition to Alaska, Oregon and the District of Columbia are also likely to have similar ballot measures on legalizing recreational marijuana.
