After surprising fans with onstage and on-the-mic reunions this year, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo and recent inductee Kidd Kidd officially got back together to take the front page of what may be XXL magazine's last print edition.

For Issue No. 156, G-Unit convened at 50's famed Connecticut mansion, the same location where they were last all together for their May 2008 XXL cover story.

The magazine's editor-in-chief, Vanessa Satten, and editors Eric Diep and Miranda Johnson joined "Rap's Ultimate Crew" for an in-depth talk about their breakup. A roundtable discussion was taped and will be released in the coming weeks along with the new issue and more original G-Unit video content.

XXL launched as a print magazine in 1997 with Jay Z and Master P on the cover, and has become a staple in hip hop conversations, especially with its Freshmen editions. The book was recently acquired by Timesquare Media. Chief Content Officer Bill Wilson says the move represents Timesquare's "commitment to the cultivation of influential brands," and the company's expansion of their digital portfolio in music and entertainment.

The Oct/Nov issue featuring G-Unit, as well as a tribute to 30 years of Def Jam, hits newsstands Oct. 17.
