It’s been a while since After Earth actor Jaden Smith showcased his musical talents. But the spawn of Will and Jada made his return, teaming up with his sister Willow to release two new songs, “Blue Ocean V19” and “Trophy V6.”

The tracks seem to be well worth the wait for Jaden, who has stepped up his lyrical game since dropping the Cool Café mixtape in 2012. On “Blue Ocean” and “Trophy,” his voice is matured as he sounds right at home on the laid back, sleepy beats, offering a mix of conscious rhymes and melodic vocals reminiscent of his favorite rapper Drake.

“I ain’t worried ‘bout the science/I’m just glad we co-exist/Runnin’ out of time/You can read it on a wrist/Picture that you missed, cause I’m chillin’ with your Miss,” he raps on “Trophy.”

The new jams will most likely be featured on Jaden’s Cool Cafe Vol. 2, he hinted via Twitter.
