The Warm Up: Drake Is on Vacation and Under Fire... Again

Keeping you informed on the latest news in music, celeb and pop culture.

Face it, we're all culture vultures in one way or another, so it's only right that BET.com brings you #TheWarmUp on the daily tip. And remember that keeping it buck doesn't mean that shade is being thrown (word to Nicki). We just like to keep it honest and real when it comes to our extended family. Read on for the hottest, most shocking moments of the past 24 hours.

— It's Friday, and while Drake is vacationing on an island soaking up the sun and showing off on Instagram, another old fling has come forward and accused the rapper of threatening her after she posted swag he gave her on the 'gram. The model, Shaye G, has taken her grievences to the Arizona authorities. This story is still developing, but it goes to show that you can't get it poppin' with just anyone.

— Rising R&B songstress Mila J isn't just releasing new music this coming Tuesday (Oct. 14), she's dropping a visual EP that will consist of five songs and videos that'll introduce her to people in a very different way. Sure, Beyoncé released a visual album, but since Mila is a newer artist that's growing her fanbase, it'll be interesting to see how her project is received. Over here, we can't wait to see it!
Robin Thicke has been quiet for a few months after begging and pleading to get his estranged wife, Paula Patton, back. And well... she's filed for divorce from the singer, who is probably still licking his wounds from his screw ups with her and those sub par Paula sales. Hopefully both of them find peace in this decision and keep their baby boy first. Best of luck!
— Ugggnnh!!! (Rick Ross grunt, ha!) Rozay told Power 105.1's Angie Martinez that he and Hov have once again teamed up for the song "Movin' Base," which will be on the Miami rapper's new album, Hood Billionaire
Kylie Jenner and Tyga an item? Well the rumor mill is spinning again since TMZ caught these two out together for dinner a few nights ago. Was it a date or friends choppin' it up? Nobody is sure, but remember that she has also been linked to Jaden Smith in the recent past and that she is still 17 while Tyga is 24.

— As Jay Z let the world know during the On the Run shows in Paris, the city is very special to him and Beyoncé since they got engaged their and conceived Blue Ivy there, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they've been vacationing there for a few days. However *ahem*, Page Six is reporting that these two are definitely in the studio recording a "secret" joint album. Is there any truth to this? We're not sure, but it's fun to think about.
— Last night, K. Michelle, Jazmine Sullivan and more amazing women in R&B were recognized at the ASCAP Women Behind the Music Awards for their contributions to the genre's growth. Congrats to all of the ladies who were honored!
Wiz Khalifa is newly single and him and his now purple dreads ain't got no worries! The rapper debuted his latest hairstyle choice on Instagram and we must say that he seems pretty satisfied with the outcome. A rapper-gone-punk rock? We'll wait and see.

— All year Pharrell has blessed the world with amazing music and amazing visuals. Last week, he released the video for "It Girl," which was heavily inspired by Japanimation. Now he's released an amazingly clear, calm and simple visual for "Gust of Wind," featuring his "baes," a.k.a. back-up dancers, in flowy outfits and performing more alternative jazz choreography. Check it out and tell us what you think.
— We all know that Drake loves exotic dancers, but now a Houston stripper named Jhonni Blaze is saying that he threatened her via text, demanding that she keep their alleged sexual encounter under wraps. So far, there's no official word from Drizzy or his reps. The OVO rapper has kept busy this week handing out #HoodGrammys and surpassing a Beatles record with a whopping 72 Billboard Hot 100 entries.

— Congratulations to Tinashe, whose debut album Aquarius is in stores. Check out #TheRundown of her album here! And trust us, she's ready to lead the pack of new R&B artists with one of the best debut projects we've heard in a while.

Ciara proves that she's the hottest mama on the block and flaunts her new post-baby body in some brand new Calvin Klein goodies like a top model. If CiCi can do this just four months after having a baby that was almost 10 pounds —  she dropped 60 pounds altogether — we have no excuse to not treat every day like it's #getsnatched season.
— André 3000 lets BET.com know that although this year on the road with Big Boi has been fun, new Outkast music is not in his future. Yes, I know it's disappointing, but at least André 3000 knows not to force music between him and his Aquemini partner when the chemistry isn't right. Stank you very much.
— Actress Raven-Symoné set Twitter on fire, as Oprah expected, after her appearance on the mogul's show Where Are They Now?. The former Cosby Show star sparked a social media flame when she revealed how she identifies as a Black woman in America. We'll just let you watch the video and ask for YOUR opinion on the matter.
— Trinidad James may not be signed to a major label anymore, but that hasn't stopped his grind or new music. Check out his latest song, "3AM Eastside," here. Interestingly enough, the ATL rapper has released a lot of music since being dropped from Def Jam and going indie. Too bad wasn't able to show and prove on this level when he was still locked in with a major.
