Chris Brown Talks Rihanna, Drake, and His Inner Demons With Hot 97

Breezy gets candid about his relationships, says Rih dated his former rival to get back at him.

Chris Brown recently sat down with Ebro, Peter Rosenberg and Lauren Stylez of Hot 97 and answered all of the burning questions that the public has been asking for years.

From addressing his inner demons to candidly sharing his thoughts on his ex Rihanna's on-again-off-again relationship with his former rival Drake, Breezy held nothing back, giving one of his most transparent interviews to date.

"I think my demons as of now are being afraid of failure," the "New Flame" singer said. "The old issues still come up but... I've talked to my therapist and everything else... It's about life and moving forward."

Moving forward is just what he wishes the public would do when pitting him against former lover Rihanna. When speaking of the infamous domestic violence incident, Brown admitted to messing up, but hopes that the public would leave the past in the past. "You can only say ['I messed up'] so many times," he said. "And I feel like, through the years, I've said it enough now to where, bro, if y'all still on that, I feel so sorry for y'all because it's over with."

Expressing that both he and Rihanna have moved on from the situation, Breezy gave insight into their brief relationship do-over, sharing that he wanted to be the man that she wanted.

"I have remorse about it, but as far as the situation, me and her [Rihanna] have made amends," he said. "We're good. I'm her friend. She's my friend... A lot of it was on me trying again to pick up the pieces. I just wanted to make sure that it was still there. Kind of making amends to her, and showing her that I could be the man that she wanted me to be."

Although the former couple managed to patch things up, that didn't stop RiRi from hooking up with another hot name in music. Brown even thinks that she publicly linked with Drizzy to teach him a lesson, he added.

"For me, I'm content with who I am, so whoever decides to move on or do their thing, that's cool," he said. "It's in the game. We're young."

In the almost 30-minute interview, Brown also talks about his latest album sales, drug abuse, patching things up with Drake, Taylor Swift's current chart dominance, his upcoming tour with Trey Songz, and having "fresher legs" than his R&B predecessor Usher.
