Justin Bieber Summoned to Argentina Over Photog Fight

Pop star has 60 days to return to South American country to face questioning in alleged bodyguard altercation.

A judge has summoned Justin Bieber to Argentina over a year-old paparazzi altercation involving his bodyguard, TMZ reports.

Bieber must return to the South American country within 60 days to face questioning in an alleged attack from last November, in which a member of his security team is accused of getting physical with photographer Diego Pesoa at a club.

Pesoa says that he was beat up for trying to snap a shot of the 20-year-old pop star partying in the Ink nightclub in Buenos Aires. “Bieber has to come to Argentina, and it won’t be to sing,” Pesoa’s lawyer, Matias Morla, said in an interview with a local news outlet.

Bieber has been pretty quiet on the legal front most recently, after he spent much of the year in and out of police custody, and dealing with various physical altercations and lawsuits, including domestic paparazzi incidents.

If he fails to get to Argentina, an international warrant will be issued for his arrest. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail.
