Beyoncé Drops Behind-the-Scenes Video for 'Haunted' and 'Superpower'

Director details the "unique" visuals in a making-of clip.

Beyoncé's self-titled visual album released almost a year ago, but the wheels on the project show no signs of slowing down.

In a "making of" format, Bey and director Jonas Åkerlund map out just about every detail that inspired the videos for "Haunted" and "Superpower." The behind-the-scenes clip even opens with Åkerlund first learning of Yoncé's surprise release plans before moving into an in-depth explanation of his directing aesthetic and approach to the moody, dark clips.

"These two videos are a little unique because it was less choreography than she [Beyoncé] usually does," he said. "It's a little less performance. It's like a different tone than what she usually does. Part of my challenge with her is to take her to places that maybe she hasn't been. And, maybe take a step out her comfort zone."

Beyoncé: Platinum Edition dropped Nov. 24.
