Cortez Bryant Responds to Lil Wayne’s Cash Money Rant
If Lil Wayne is really done with Cash Money, he hasn't told his manager, Cortez Bryant. From Bryant’s standpoint, everything with the YMCMB family is perfectly fine.
“We good,” Bryant said to TMZ when leaving Penthouse nightclub in Hollywood Thursday evening (Dec. 5). The cameraman kept up with the questioning, but Bryant wouldn’t budge. “What are you talking about? I’m smiling,” he said, noting that if things were bad within YMCMB he “wouldn’t be out in the club.”
His comments on Tyga were in the same vein. T-Raww blasted the label (before Weezy did) for holding his album hostage, and announced on Twitter yesterday that The Gold Album will be his “first independent release” slated to drop in 2015. “Tyga’s good too,” Bryant said casually getting into his car. “That’s my brother.”
Birdman is just as unbothered by the Weezy rant as Bryant appears to be. He never commented on the tweets and has so far only been posting photos on Instagram promoting Rich Gang, and his line of sneakers.
