Trick Trick to J. Cole : You’re Not Welcome in Detroit

Motor City rap artist threatens to "lock the gate" on the "Fire Squad" MC.

J. Cole shouldn’t make any immediate plans to go to Detroit, if Trick Trick gets his way that is. The unofficial sentinel of the Motor City has threatened to lock the invisible gate on Cole for name checking Eminem on the track “Fire Squad.”

The bi-racial spitter calls out Em, Iggy Azalea, Macklemore and Justin Timberlake as examples of white artists he believes are capitalizing on Black music. Em didn’t even respond to the jab, yet the verse didn’t sit well with Trick. “He ain’t poppin ‘S**t S**t’ is he???? I will lock the gate on that n***a!,” he wrote in response to a Facebook post. After a commenter questioned why Cole would bring skin color into the equation, Trick warned that the Roc Nation rapper was hankering for “an a** Whippin!”

Trick has pulled this move before. He was rumored to have run Rick Ross out of Detroit earlier this year, although he denied laying down an official ban on the Bawse. “Well concerning myself and that individual, it's not your motherf***in' business," he said in an interview. "That's a grown man, I'm a grown man. Grown men don't put grown man business out to the motherf***in' public."

Cole on the other hand probably won’t be responding to Trick, at least not in the near future. He's currently tied up promoting his new album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, due out tomorrow.
