Rihanna Teases New Music
While both of her exes were busy getting into trouble and fights over the weekend, Rihanna’s been keeping her mind occupied with music. The 26-year-old singer teased a snippet from her upcoming R8 album via Instagram yesterday (Dec. 9).
According to Billboard, the mid-tempo track is called “Kiss It Better,” and was written by Glass John, who also produced the song along with Jeff Bhasker.
This is the second song RiRi has previewed on Instagram recently, although she hasn’t said much about the album beyond posting the clips. Ne-Yo, who submitted music for R8, shared some album news during an interview last month. “I can’t speak on what it sounds like because I’ll get in trouble but I definitely feel like people are gonna enjoy it," he said. "Anybody that’s a Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan, and anybody that’s not might become a Rihanna fan behind what’s coming. Just gear up for it.”
Amid rumors swirling around the heavily-anticipated release, the bajan singer tweeted in late November, “Any news about R8 will be delivered directly from me!!!!”
R8 will be Rihanna’s eighth studio album, and her first since Unapologetic, which was released in 2012.
