Iggy Azalea Confirms Britney Spears Collaboration
Iggy Azalea nabbed a big collaboration with Britney Spears, the Aussie rapper confirmed in an interview over the weekend. Azalea was rumored to be working with the 32-year-old pop star back in October.
“We have a song, which is going to be her first single, coming out next year,” she told Boston's Kiss 108, explaining that the feature came together after Spears made the first move. “She said she would like to work with me in an interview and they reached out,” continued the "Fancy" rhymer. “We recorded a few different things and then one of those just ended up being, I think, undeniably great.”
In spite of sharing space on a single, Azalea admitted that she has yet to “have a conversation” with Spears and wants to link with her around New Year’s. She’s hoping the song will drop around the same time. “Hopefully everybody will get to hear it at the beginning of next year. I think people are really going to love and enjoy it. It’s a really fun track.”
Azalea has been racking up the collaborations lately. In 2014 she worked with Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Charlie XCX and T.I.
