Solange Thanks Azealia Banks for Comments About Black Music

The singer also shared her appreciation for Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.

It may seem like it's Azealia Banks against the world, but the hip hop prodigy seems to have at least one person in her corner. Solange Knowles thanked the "Chasing Time" rapper on Twitter following her impassioned interview at HOT 97 earlier this week.

"Thank you @AZEALIABANKS," Solo tweeted following Banks' words on cultural appropriation in hip hop. The femcee also shared her unapologetic comments on her nemesis Iggy Azalea in the interview, saying, "That Iggy Azalea s**t isn't better than any f*****g Black girl that's rapping today."

When speaking on white artists taking advantage of Black art, Banks said, "I feel like, in this country, whenever it comes to our things, like Black issues or Black politics or Black music or whatever, there's always this undercurrent of kinda like a 'F**k you,'" she said. "There's always a 'F**k y'all n****s. Y'all don't really own s**t. Y'all don't have s**t.'"

Solange also thanked hip hop's hottest names Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole before tweeting, "Signed... a music fan. A Black girl."
