Lil B and Frank Ocean Collaborating on New Music

Bay Area rapper shares "rare image" with singer, announces joint project.

Here’s a collaboration that no one saw coming: Lil B and Frank Ocean are working on music together.

The Based God tweeted a photo Sunday (Dec. 28) from what looks like either a brainstorming  or a listening session, with Ocean. He called the flick a “rare” image of the two adding, “New music coming soon. Collect this!”

There’s no info on whether it's just one track or if the collaboration will be on Lil B’s album or for Ocean, who's working on a follow-up to his Grammy-winning Channel Orange debut.

The new music could also be for a completely separate project all together, and it'll be interesting to hear what they come up with. Ocean, who suffered a vocal injury in 2013, isn’t known to collaborate with just anybody. Outside of a feature on Beyoncé's last album, the New Orleans native has been mostly mute on the music front, although he did preview a new song last month.

Lil B, on the other hand, is way more generous with pushing out content. His last studio album was Tears 4 God in 2012, but he’s released more than half a dozen mixtapes since then, including three in 2014.
