Eminem Grants Terminally Ill Fan's Final Wish
Eminem is known for his brash and unapologetic lyrics and comments, but he has a soft side that the public doesn't see too often. Proving just this, the rapper visited a terminally ill fan whose dying wish was to meet him.
According to TMZ, Em's 17-year-old longtime fan Gage Garmo was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, and was told that he has only one week left to live. So his family and friends started the hashtag #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem to get the rapper's attention, and it seemed to work.
Reportedly, the "Lose Yourself" rapper arranged a visit at Gage's Michigan home, which happened to be just 20 minutes from where he lives. The low-key emcee didn't want to turn the visit into a media event so he quietly arrived at Garmo's place at 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Em and Garmo spent about an hour together chatting, and, according to the site, Gage was in good spirits during the entire visit, and was very grateful that the hip hop star kept his word.
