Game Celebrates The Documentary with Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre

K Dot reflects on the album's legacy at the 10-year anniversary show in L.A. for a BET.com exclusive.

Compton was well represented at Game’s album anniversary concert in Los Angeles Sunday (Jan. 19) night. Fellow CPT natives, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Problem and Tyga stepped out to celebrate 10 years of The Documentary, alongside Marsha Ambrosius, Ab-Soul, ScHoolBoy Q, and others on the guest list.

Even though the show started well after midnight, fans enthusiastically packed the Belasco to hear the 35-year-old rapper spit his 2004 debut album in its entirety. The crowd was also treated to surprise performances from Dre, Lamar, and “CoCo” rapper OT Genesis

“To see it manifest and do what it did, and still live in today’s hip hop, 10 years later, it’s a great feeling,” K Dot told BET.com of Game's groundbreaking release.

"He kicked back in the door for the [West] Coast," added Problem. "We were down for a lot of years when he dropped that album and the way it hit the city with it's movement, it's amazing."

The night was just as much about music as it was about family for Game. Towards the end of the concert, the father of four brought out his 11-year-old son Harlem Taylor (who was just a baby when The Documentary dropped), while daughter Cali and ex-fiancée Tiffney Cambridge watched the show from the balcony.
