Kanye West Says That He Was Racially Profiled in 2000 Felony Case

Yeezy claims he was convicted for his hairstyle and clothes.

According to TMZ, a deposition from Kanye West's case filed by a photographer that he allegedly assaulted at LAX reveals that West believes that he was racially profiled in a case against him in 2000.
The producer explained that he was arrested for allegedly stealing printers from an Office Max in Illinois. He continued by explaining that by that time he was already a successful platinum-selling producer and that he believes that authorities picked him up because of his hairstyle and clothing.
"I was racially profiled for having a white T-shirt and braids," West said.
Kanye called it a case of mistaken identity and also claims that the cops tried to frame him by altering the type of SUV that he was driving at the time in official documents.
Now, fifteen years later, it's safe to say that Yeezy has moved onward, upward and way beyond that moment in time. Watch him receive the Visionary Award at the 2015 BET Honors, airing Monday Feb. 23 at 9P/8C.
