50 Cent Wins an Award for His Terrible First Pitch

Rapper earns 2014 MLB Network honor thanks to appearance at Mets game.

50 Cent has earned himself an award for being bad at baseball.

The Queens native is the winner of the 2014 MLB Network Social Media Award for the Most Memorable First Pitch in commemoration of his terrible pitch at a Mets game last May.

His attempt was so bad that he couldn’t even get the ball close to home plate. The clip, and photos of the embarrassing moment blew up online (there are memes and Vines still floating around the atmosphere), and the MLB Network obviously took notice.

Fif wasn’t completely tickled by the honor. He Instagrammed a photo sitting next to his brand new award with the caption, “These people sent me,the most f**ed up pitch award. Ain't this a B**h. Lmao. But it ain't funny.”
