Report: Jagged Edge Kyle L. Norman Arrested for Assault

Singer's fiancée taken to hospital with multiple facial injuries.

Kyle L. Norman, a member of the R&B quartet Jagged Edge, was arrested in connection with an aggravated assault in Atlanta.

Police were called to the scene Thursday (Jan. 29) responding to a fight “between an engaged couple,” the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. The singer's fiancée was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with "welts under her eyes, a golf ball size knot on her forehead, a cut to her nose and a blood clot in her right eye."

Norman, who was not at the residence when the cops arrived, was reportedly found running down a sidewalk. When the officer caught up to him, he turned around and said, “I need to go to jail.” He then explained that he "was upset about his dad having cancer and that’s the reason he got so mad at his fiancée,” the police revealed in an email.

He's being held at least until a judge sees him Friday morning at 11 a.m.

Jagged Edge most recently celebrated 15 years of their JE Heartbreak album, which spawned such chart-toppers as "Promise" and "Let's Get Married." Last week, the group announced "Love Come Down" as the latest single off their 2014 album, JE Heartbreak II.
